Erlangen's Home Of Heritage

Durgaville: Celebrating our roots. Building our community in Franconia.

Far from the land we call home, Durgaville keeps the warmth of India alive in the heart of Erlangen. Through festivals, music, literature, art, and shared traditions, we celebrate not just our culture, but the bonds that make us a family. Every gathering is an opportunity to create memories, pass on our heritage, and help the next generation stay connected to their roots. Whether you are celebrating with us for the first time or have been part of our journey for years, there is always a place for you at Durgaville.

Every Durga Puja at Durgaville begins months before Mahalaya. From sculpting our own idols in Erlangen to designing immersive pandals and reviving age-old rituals, we don't just organize a festival—we build an experience from the ground up.

Durga Puja: Our Grand Celebration

Turning Interests into Actions

Performing such an event requires ample support and contribution from each and every individual. Our vision is that everyone contributes and owns the puja and can be proud of it in the end. We look forward to collaborate with all of you and convert this "yet small but big" initiative into a "home away from home" concept. Come let's perform and enjoy Durga Puja together and have a great time with our friends and family.

A bit of a Background!

Here at Durgaville, we are driven by a single goal: to celebrate Durga Puja in the city of Erlangen in the most pious way possible. We are a group of enthusiastic Bengalis living in Erlangen, just like all of you - not special or privileged, but simply driven by passion, dedication and love for Durga Puja. From 2021, we decided to celebrate Durga Puja on our own, putting in extra effort in our free time to focus on something that brings utmost joy not only to us but to all.

Our Community Values

Celebrate. Connect. Cherish.

At Durgaville, every journey begins with a celebration, grows through meaningful connections, and lives on through cherished memories. These three values define who we are, inspire everything we do, and guide us in building a vibrant cultural community that proudly carries its roots across generations and beyond borders.

Celebrate. Connect. Cherish.

Three simple words. One shared journey.

Celebrate

Connect

Cherish

Every celebration is an invitation to experience the beauty of our heritage. Through festivals, music, art, literature, and traditions, we keep the spirit of India alive in Erlangen. Together, we celebrate our roots with pride, joy, and a sense of belonging.

Celebrations have the power to bring people together. Every event creates new friendships, strengthens old bonds, and unites families across generations and cultures. At Durgaville, we believe every connection enriches our community and makes Erlangen feel a little more like home.

While every celebration eventually comes to an end, the memories remain forever. The laughter, the shared experiences, the spirit of volunteering, and the moments spent together become stories that stay with us for a lifetime. These cherished memories inspire us to return, reconnect, and celebrate again.
